About Me
My Name is Dennis Chacon and I was born in Queens, NY in the year 1974. I have Colombian roots and come from a line of self taught talented Artist. Ever since I was a kid I had a interest in Art and Illustrating. I remember my mom telling me that at three years old I would just get a pencil and paper and start drawing people. Growing up in the Big Apple inspired me even more to pursue Art because I was surrounded by it everywhere I went. Art School was very expensive in New York especially for a single mother of 3 kids so my family moved to Florida in the 90's so I can continue my education in Graphic Design and Commercial Art. Florida quickly became my home and my talent continued to grow over the years until I was able to master it. I met my lovely wife in 2005 and have two beautiful boys. I love living in Florida, from the sunny outdoors to the salt in the ocean it's my own personal playground where I am able to contribute and display my artwork while having fun and loving what I do best. Through out the years I've been able to work with many different clients and even had the honor to design the specialty license plate tag for Florida Fire Fighter charity after 9/11 which I took to heart being from New York myself. I take a lot of pride in my work and always strive to meet clients needs, so if there is anything I can do for you or your company feel free to drop me a line.
Skills and Experience
I went to school in Miami, FL back then it was I.F.A.C , now known as Miami International University of Art and Design to pursue a degree in Commercial Art however most of my skills and experience has been self taught. I work with various Adobe programs and work both with PC and Mac computers which allow me not only to do digital designing but hand drawn projects. I had the pleasure to have a few Graphic Design jobs and art gigs which expanded my talent. Today I can do anything from Vector Art, Cartoonist, Custom Illustrations, Comic Book Artist, Character Design, Marine Art, Graphic Design, Logo Design, T-shirt Artist, Package Design, Marketing & Advertising Design, Inker, Colorist, and GIF Animator.
